#WorkdayWrapUp Johnny theme & Bon Scott tribute

in addition to this being the birthday of Jack White, Courtney Love, Jim Kerr & Tom Hanks, one of rock’s all-time great vocalists, Bon Scott of AC/DC was born back on this day in 1946!  Very hard to narrow down his Top 10 songs with that band, but here’s a start…as you may know, I’m a big Pearl Jam fan (as evidenced by yesterday’s afternoon show with all the PJ 2-fers to announce their JPJ show this October!), the band (known for their spot-on covers of The Who, Buzzcocks, X, Elvis, Neil Young & many other specially-selected songs over the years) reportedly had wanted to try their hand at “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” for many years, but so far has only done so once, in 2009 in Australia, appropriately enough!

Every Weekday at 6pm, we do a request hour with a different theme, started by the New Song of the Day.  Here’s what actually got played among the requests tonight…
