#WorkdayWrapUp – Music songs/bands 5-1-13

What a confusing day…

Martha Stewart’s looking for dates on Match.com

The Civil Wars are still broken up, but have a new album coming out this summer…

RG3 tweets about the “tyranny” of political correctness…I’m a big fan of his, but you’d think a Baylor education would’ve taught him the much more real tyrannies African Americans and Native Americans have been up against since about 1492, even in (make that ESPECIALLY in) the “land of the free.”  Maybe they should change the Redskins mascot to the “Accidental Racists” and have LL Cool J and Brad Paisley sing at halftime of each game?  LOL  At least the NFL D.C. franchise (that practices in Richmond & plays in Maryland, not DC anymore) has a slightly more respectful logo than the Cleveland Indians…sheesh.  Sometimes I wonder if it’s 2013 or 1963…

and perhaps most confounding of all, Brad picked ZZ Top “Tush” for the Bonnaroo Song of the Day!?!  Maybe it’ll be Billy Idol or Weird Al tomorrow, who knows?  :)

Every Weekday at 6pm, we do a request hour with a different theme, started by the New Song of the Day.  Here’s what actually got played among the requests tonight…
