#WorkdayWrapUp – “N” songs/bands theme 10/25

This will be the final Workday Wrap Up at 6pm, but don’t worry!  We are simply moving the “themed request hour” concept to 1pm (still working on a catchy name), starting Monday!  I’ll be with you as the afternoon show expands to noon-6pm (rather than 3-7pm), which will enable us to do 3 new things: 1) the “College of Musical Knowledge” Trivia at 5pm with fabulous prizes Mon-Fri; 2) a “One o’clock Ticket Window” (with cool upcoming concert-related music & ticket giveaways); and 3) an even more interactive Twitter/Facebook/text/phone set of requests from about 1:10-1:50pm each weekday!  We’ll all be brainstorming together from noon-1pm for whatever that day’s theme might be (we’re still working our way through the alphabet for the next couple weeks), it’ll just be a little more competitive & only the BEST 7 or 8 songs will make it on-air…but esp. if you’re using Twitter or Facebook, the record will show via social media just how many cool requests Corner listeners can come up with on a daily basis!

After about 2 years of the Last Letter Game from 2007-2009, we morphed into the Workday Wrap Up, in part because SO MANY songs ended in letters that not very many songs then started with (E, N, and Y esp.).  The themed request hour has been superfun, and I hope my “regulars” don’t hold a grudge for us not only wanting to move things around a bit after almost 5 years, but also because we pretty much needed to move it because of Jaclyn’s departure & my desire to get home a little earlier in the evenings to spend more time with my family.  Thanks for 7+ years of great requests (no matter what the show’s been called) & for your understanding & we look forward to your continued support!
