A Los Angeles landmark dedicated to the late member of the Beatles has been destroyed by actual bugs.

A pine tree planted 10 years ago to honor the songwriter has fallen victim to a beetle infestation and will have to be replanted, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The tree, planted in the city’s Griffith Park, had grown to be more than 10 feet tall.

It was planted in L.A. as a tribute to the musician, who spent his final days in the city before his death in 2001, the Times reported.
