Three performers with a popular musical act prepare to give their final performance on Christmas Eve when Lila decides she doesn’t want to quit show business and marry Jim, so she runs off with Ted. Jim retires to a farm in Connecticut where he decides to build a seasonal venue called “Holiday Inn.” This film follows the activities of the Inn through a year of holidays and romantic tension. It’s a solid classic and the film “White Christmas” was written for!

22. Edward Scissorhands (1990)

This photo released by Julien's Auctions shows 20th Century Fox, 1990 A pair of the prop 'scissorhand' gloves that Johnny Depp wore as he portrayed the title character in Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands". The item is among many owned by Michael Jackson and being auctioned on the Auction Network on April 22- 25. A public exhibition of the items will be held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills from April 14- 21. Auction Estimate: $4,000 - $6,000.Photo: AP/Julien’s Auctions/Shaan Koki

Edward Scissorhands | 105 min | PG-13
Starring: Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest, Anthony Michael Hall

Arguably Tim Burton’s masterpiece, Edward Scissorhands pairs a young Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder and places them into a fantasy land that look eerily like suburbia. After a run in with a door-to-door saleswoman (Avon Lady calling!) Edward comes down from his gothic mansion and integrates into the neighborhood. After some initial hesitation the neighbors begin to take him in, but it proves to be too much and things go bad. One of the most beautiful Christmas films made, this movie will have you dancing in the snow yourself.

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye meet up with another successful music act featuring Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen in this classic holiday masterpiece. The couples travel to a Vermont lodge for the holidays in the hope of performing for skiing clientele, but arrive to find the slopes dry and abandoned by tourists. When the men realize the lodge owner is their struggling former commander they rally the troops and put on the performance of a lifetime. Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney are fantastic, but they might get these catchy songs stuck in your head!

24. A Christmas Story (1983)

A Christmas Story | 94 min | PG
Starring: Peter Billingsley, Jean Shepherd, Melinda Dillon, Darren McGavin

The fluffy pink bunny pajamas. The gleaming leg lamp. The terrifying Santa shouting “Ho. Ho. Ho.”. This film offers up some of the most iconic Christmas moments in Hollywood cinema. It’s hard to believe this 1940s Christmas tale was only released in the 1980s! Follow young Ralphie’s quest to convince his parents he needs a Red Ryder B.B. gun, but make sure you don’t shoot your eye out!

25. It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)

James Stewart, center, is reunited with his wife, Donna Reed, left, and children during the last scene of Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life".

What would the world be life if you were never born? That’s the wish George Bailey makes in this classic Christmas tale. After he falls on hard times George is tempted to end it all, until he is stopped at the last minute by Clarence the guardian angel. Clarence takes George Bailey into a parallel world where his wish is granted so he can see just how everything would have turned out. This is not the happiest of Christmas movies, but you’ll learn a lesson of appreciation and love that’s unrivaled by any other film!

REVIEW: ‘How To Be Single’ feels the same while trying too hard to be different

"How to Be Single" makes a valiant attempt to send up rom-com clichés but it borrows so much from other, better movies that you start to wonder if the film’s title should be "How to Commit Larceny."
