Veteran singer/songwriter Tom Waits appears to be ready to make a return to the stage after hiring his first booking agents in 20 years.

The “Hold On” hitmaker has signed with talent officials at William Morris Endeavor to represent him as a musician and actor.

The news has prompted speculation the cult star is preparing to perform more concerts in the near future after making two rare appearances onstage last year – he joined the Rolling Stones to sing blues classic “Little Red Rooster” in Oakland, California in May, while he played his first full show in five years in October in aid of Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit.
