An Amherst man who’s been convicted of home break-ins across Virginia was sentenced Tuesday afternoon in Albemarle. Judge Cheryl Higgins gave Kevin Scott Burchardt (pictured) 30 additional years behind bars. The 34-year-old was sentenced earlier in other local jurisdictions, including Fluvanna and Nelson.
