City Council Approves Expanded Recycling

City Councilors have agreed to authorize bigger containers on wheels for an expanded recycling program. They have also endorsed sending trucks around every other week to collect recycled materials. City Public Works Director Judy Mueller (pictured) says this has worked in the Belmont and Greenbrier neighborhoods. The city will try these procedures in more residential areas. The city staff will meet with major landlords to discuss recycling efforts in apartment complexes that rely on dumpsters.
