Several streets in the Tenth and Page and Fifeville neighborhoods are getting parking restrictions. The City Council has voted 4-1 to require permit parking on those streets effective February 1st. The plan involves Page and Paoli Streets, 9th Street Northwest, 10-and-a-half Street Northwest, Pine Street, Elm Street and King Street. Page Street resident Josephine Morrison (pictured) is tired of UVA employees and construction workers hogging all the parking. Vice-Mayor Dede Smith voted against the new restrictions.
