The Albemarle County and Charlottesville public schools will be sending kids home early this afternoon . That’s due to the street closings that will happen when President Obama and the President of France visits Monticello. Classes for three-year-olds in the city schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Walker and Buford will send kids home at 1 p.m. The elementaries will let out at 1:30, and CHS will dismiss at 2 p.m. After-school childcare through the CLASS program will remain in session and end at the usual time. The activity buses will not run Monday. The Albemarle schools will end school two hours early.
