Gifted Education Leader Wants More Diverse Quest Program

The leader of the city schools gifted education program is trying to make the classes more racially diverse. Bev Catlin oversees the Quest program serving Burnley-Moran Elementary (pictured) and the other schools. She’s not satisfied with the numbers of African-Americans and other minorities who have enrolled in those classes. Catlin is also interested in electronic portfolios for sudents with many art projects.
