County Police say watch out for a scam making the rounds. Somebody recently reported getting a text message that claimed to come from Bank of America. The text said the victim needed to contact his bank regarding security settings. A number was called where the victim gave up his social security number and bank card ID. He then called Bank of America, which stated that they would never use such a method. There’s a similar scam involving claims from fake IRS agents.
