The Central Virginia Electric Cooperative says 7100 customers in rural areas of Albemarle and NelsonĀ had a planned power outage Monday night that lasted less than 30 minutes. CVEC says Dominion Virginia Power made necessary repairs to its equipment at the Dooms Substation in Augusta County. The coop customers lost electricity Saturday after a fire and an equipment malfunction disabled the Dominion substation north of Waynesboro.
