Fire Damages Esmont Home

A Friday morning fire heavily damaged a house in the Esmont area. Albemarle Fire and Rescue says the fire was discovered shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday at 6882 Porters Road. Investigators say the fire caused damage from the basement up to the roof area of the house along the chimney. There were no injuries.
