Local residents paused Sunday to pay their final tributes to the Reverend Elisha George Hall. The 87-year old Hall died last week in Petersburg, where he spent the final years of his life. Hall came to Charlottesville in 1968 to become the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He won a seat on City Council as a member of the Democrats’ Conover-Gleason-Hall tickets of 1980 and ’84, when his colleagues in City Hall (pictured) included John Conover and Elizabeth “Betz” Gleason. After he became the pastor emeritus of Ebenezer Baptist, Hall moved to Petersburg.
A look back at the Hollywood headlines that went down in history.
The wife of the Scottsville man who was missing for a week says he was without medication because he can't afford since the city fired him and left him without insurance, something the Pippins hope to fight in court.
His condition has gone from critical to serious, but his body has yet to heal from multiple shark bites.
