A house that became a Nelson County meth lab will soon be on the auction block. Thomas Massie Huffman is serving seven years in prison after pleading guilty to selling and distributing methamphetamine. Nelson Commonwealth’s Attorney Anthony Martin asked the court to forfeit Huffman’s real estate, cash and any other property. Judge J. Michael Gamble approved the sale. The property at 825 Barn Hill Lane in the Davis Creek area has an assessed value of $144,200 and includes 8-1/4 acres. Once the property is sold, the proceeds will go to the arresting law enforcement agency and the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice for equipment and training. An auction date has not been set.
