JMRL Libraries Have New Rules On Phones, Food

A new era began Tuesday in the public libraries. The Jefferson-Madison Regional Libraries will let you bring in a cell phone and something to eat. Charlottesville resident Roger Adams does not buy the argument that libraries have not welcomed young people, who often carry their cell phones and food wherever they go. The policy change affects the system’s branches, including the Gordon Avenue library (pictured) in the Venable neighborhood.
