Governor McAuliffe is making big changes to the Commonwealth Transportation Board. McAuliffe has appointed six people to the board, including new representatives for the Lynchburg and Fredericksburg Highway Districts. He has chosen former Delegate Shannon Valentine of Lynchburg, onetime State Senator Marty Williams (pictured) of Newport News, former Spotsylvania County Supervisor Hap Connors, and Roanoke Vice-Mayor Court Rosen. McAuliffe has also picked Jim Dyke of Reston, who was Former Governor Doug Wilder’s Secretary of Education, and Scott Kasprowicz of Fauquier County. He was a high-ranking VDOT official in Former Governor Tim Kaine’s administration. Allison DeTuncq of Albemarle County remains on the board. The head of the UVA Community Credit Union was appointed as the Culpeper Highway District representative last August.
