N.C. Attorney General Won’t Defend His State’s Ban On Same Sex Marriages

The North Carolina Attorney General says his office will stop defending his state’s ban on same-sex marriages. Democrat Roy Cooper says he’s taking a cue from a Richmond-based federal appeals court. North Carolina, just like Virginia, has a constitutional amendment that prohibits same-sex marriages.
