A New Hampshire man died after two tractor-trailers collided Wednesday morning on Interstate 81 in Augusta County. State Police say the tractor-trailers were headed south near Staunton when the second vehicle hit the first one from behind. The second tractor-trailer jackknifed and 56-year-old Bryan P. Ingalls of Manchester, New Hampshire died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. One of the drivers was hauling about 2000 drums of chocolate syrup and some of them ruptured after the collision. There was a huge backup in the southbound lanes after southbound traffic had to be detoured for seven hours. The interstate reopened to traffic around 3 p.m.
