ODU Won’t Require SAT Or ACT Scores For Some Applicants

There will be no standardized admission test for some who apply to Old Dominion University. High school students who have a grade-point average of 3.3 or higher will not be required to submit SAT or ACT scores to ODU. The president of the Norfolk school says students from higher income families are more likely to take a class that prepares them for taking the test. That increases their chance of getting a higher score than a low-income student. ODU says the GPA is a stronger indication of success in college than a standardized test result.
