A onetime Albemarle County educator is facing new felony charges involving the online solicitation of a minor. The legal problems for 66-year-old John Daniel Patterson, Jr. (pictured) of Waynesboro began in April when he met up with an Augusta County investigator and was expecting a 13-year-old boy. Waynesboro Police arrested Patterson on Wednesday on charges of soliciting a 14-year-old Highland County boy. Patterson spent 28 years as an Albemarle schools employee, including a long stint as a teacher at Western Albemarle High School.
Paramount executives have picked up the rights to the 28-year-old's autobiography.
