Testimony began Friday in the Randy Allen Taylor trial in Lovingston. Nelson County Commonwealth’s Attorney Anthony Martin unveiled physical evidence involving missing teenager Alexis Murphy to Taylor’s camper. Taylor (pictured) faces charges of murder and abduction, but no body has surfaced. The highlight of the prosecutor’s opening statement was items that belonged to Murphy that were found inside Taylor’s camper. They include blood, hair, the teen’s shirt, a part of a hair extension, and a torn fingernail. Lisa Provence, who is covering the Taylor trial for C’ville Weekly, summarized Friday’s testimony when she was a guest of Les Sinclair on WINA’s Charlottesville Right Now.
