A special prosecutor will handle the case of 35-year-old Claire Kennedy Ogilvie, the Greene County teacher accused of attacking the wife of Delegate David Toscano. Nancy Tramontin was treated and released from Martha Jefferson Hospital Monday night after she was hit in the head several times in her house. Claire Ogilvie (pictured), who most recently has been a teacher at William Monroe High School, is charged with malicious wounding, burglary and abduction. Charlottesville Commonwealth’s Attorney Dave Chapman has taken himself off the case because he and Toscano are friends, and he’s also a political supporter of the House Minority Leader. The prosecution will now be handled by Fluvanna Commonwealth’s Attorney Jeff Haislip.
