State Has New Forecasts For Major Crops

No word on pork bellies, but new crop forecasts from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Corn yield is expected to be down 7% compared to last year. Cotton, however, is forecast to see a 29% increase, with peanuts (pictured) expected to tie 2012’s record average yield.
