The Albemarle Supervisors say the County School Board can dig into reserve funds to shore up its cash-flow situation. Chairwoman Jane Dittmar supported a resolution Monday that lets the school division tap other sources, including fuel and building reserves. Dittmar (pictured second from right) says the school division got caught short when the University of Virginia changed its policy on health coverage for spouses. Ann Mallek (pictured right), Brad Sheffield (not shown) and Diantha McKeel (pictured second from left) also endorsed the school board’s request. Supervisor Ken Boyd says tapping into fuel reserves could cause problems, especially if the situation in Iraq gets worse. Boyd was a Monday guest on the Schilling Show.
