Turner Says Police Vital, But Weed Out Bad Cops

The President of the local NAACP says police departments serve crucial needs, but he wants to make sure they don’t have bad officers. Rick Turner appeared Monday on WINA’s Schilling Show. Turner believes there are similarities between Charlottesville and Ferguson, Missouri, which has become a powder keg after a police officer shot and killed teenager Michael Brown. He’s also urging people to take photographs or video recordings of police officers making arrests.
