One of the top ROTC cadets in the nation is a UVA student, and a woman. Adria Penatzer (pictured) is a fourth-year getting her double major in honors politics and Chinese. She’s an Army ROTC cadet who spent this summer jumping out of airplanes and learning about military intelligence at Fort Bragg and Fort Knox. Penatzer was named the top cadet in her regiment of almost 500 in the Army Leadership Development and Assessment Course that they’re required to undergo following the third year of college. That includes beating out the male cadets. Penatzer will live on the Lawn this coming year. (Photo by Josh Newell, Western Kentucky University)
