Some members of the University of Virginia’s Board of Visitors want to make predictable tuition amounts a top priority. John Griffin, who chairs a Board of Visitors subcommittee, believes UVA needs to figure out a way to establish tuition levels for a multiyear period. For a variety of reasons, including a major decline in support from the state government, families who send their kids to UVA have seen tuition nearly double over the past decade.
