CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – They did it last year for the 1st anniversary, and Wednesday afternoon at 1:55pm there will be a pause on UVA Grounds where the chapel bells will play Amazing Grace followed by those three rings. They are for Lavel Davis, Devin Chandler, and D’Sean Perry… the three football players shot and killed along Culbreth Road November 13, 2022 after returning that early morning from a class field trip to DC.

Also on Wednesday, students will meet on the South Lawn from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. to pick up orange ribbons and write reflections. At 7 p.m., students plan to gather at the steps of Old Cabell Hall to light candles in remembrance.
