Matt Skiba Phone Interview 09-21-18

“We have this philosophy of first thought best thought” -Matt Skiba on the Alkaline Trio recording process.

It’s always a little surreal to interview someone whose music has influenced your life for more than half of it. Especially if he just joined a band you’ve been listening to for three quarters of it. I never imagined I’d get to talk with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio and Blink-182, but I did and it was awesome. We talked about the new Alk3 record, what it was like to replace Tom Delonge in Blink, and what the future holds for both bands.
