(SALEM – WINA) An amber alert triggered a search for three young children from Roanoke County, and it ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon in the Florence area of South Carolina. Howard Hall, who’s the Roanoke County Police Chief, says highway patrol officers in South Carolina found Cameron, Emma and Colin Allison. They were found unharmed in a car on Interstate 95.
The children range in age from 1 to 6 and were in a car driven by Ruby Marie Allison. She faces felony abduction charges and will be brought back to Virginia. John Allison, who is Ruby Allison’s husband, is already being held on felony abduction charges. He’s being held without bond at the Roanoke County-Salem Jail.
