Gordonsville Man Killed In Crash On Burnley Station Road

A fatal accident Sunday morning in northeastern Albemarle. County Police say 36-year-old Jeffrey Kenneth Ashworth of Gordonsville was killed shortly after 6:30 Sunday morning when his westbound car went off Burnley Station Road and hit a tree. Ashworth died at the scene. Burnley Station Road was closed for several hours. Albemarle has now had 12 fatal crashes this year with a total of 13 killed.
