Sentencing for a man convicted of killing another man last September at an apartment complex in the county. 30-year-old Ron Jasper (pictured) of Louisa was found guilty of first-degree murder Tuesday in the shooting death of Rahsaan Reid. The jury returned to Albemarle Circuit Court Wednesday and recommended a sentence of 23 years in prison.
It happened last September 24th at the Cavalier Crossing apartment complex off 5th Street Extended. Jasper claims he acted in self-defense.
