(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)  City Councilors signed off Monday night on a list of economic incentives for the developer of the Landmark Hotel.  John Dewberry of Dewberry Capital made a personal appeal. He apologized for past delays, and assured the councilors they will like his future hotel.

Vice-Mayor Wes Bellamy asked Dewberry about parking arrangements and his proposed restaurant, as well as the wages of future hotel employees. Dewberry says patrons have been tipping well at his hotel in Charleston.  The council approved the incentives 4 to 1, with Kristin Szakos voting no.
