Jury finds Gerald Francis Jackson guilty of involuntary manslaughter

(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)   A jury has found a 61-year-old Charlottesville man is guilty of voluntary manslaughter.   City jurors recommended Wednesday that Gerald Francis Jackson serve 10 years in prison.

He was arrested in early January after the body of 55-year-old Richard Wayne Edwards was found in the kitchen of his home in the 1100 block of Cherry Street.  Jackson will be sentenced on October 28th.
