Police: Teenage Murder Victim, Suspect Knew Each Other

Charlottesville Police say the teenage victim in a double homicide and the suspect knew each other. But the exact nature of the relationship was not revealed during a Tuesday news conference conducted by City Police Chief Tim Longo. He’s asking for more information from the public about the relationship. 30-year-old George Everett Washington (pictured left) is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the beating death of 58-year-old Robin Christine Aldridge and 17-year-old Mani Viktoria Aldridge (pictured right).

There was a fire Friday night at the Rugby Avenue home where Robin and Mani Aldridge were found. It went from a house fire to a homicide investigation when emergency responders became suspicious and called police.

Washington is being held without bond at the Regional Jail. According to his Facebook page where he goes by Geno Washingtontown, he had been working at UVA, graduated from Charlottesville High School in 2003, and identifies himself as married in 2013 with one child.
