CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – University of Virginia President Jim Ryan identifies three football players who were shot to death Sunday night on Culbreth Road… and UVa Police Chief Tim Longo announced in the middle of an 11am press conference word alleged assailant Christopher Jones has been taken into custody. Longo said warrants were out for 3 counts of 2nd-degree murder, and 3 counts of use of a firearm in commision of a felony.

President Ryan released identities of Virginia Beach 2nd-year Devin Chandler; Dorcester, SC 3rd-year Lavel Davis; and Miami, FL 3rd-year D’Sean Perry as those killed. Ryan says two other players, whose names are not being released, were taken to UVa… one in good condition, the other critically injured.
