(PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA – WINA)   The University of Virginia football program defeated ACC rival Pittburgh 30-14 on Saturday night at Heinz Field.  The Cavaliers trailed Pitt by a single point at the half, and then outscored the Panthers 17-0 in the second half.

UVA quarterback Bryce Perkins went 20-34 for 181 yards with two touchdowns through the air.  Perkins also ran for another 44 yards.  For the first time in his career, Wahoo running back Wayne Taulapapa had a touchdown.

UVA must now prepare for its first home game of 2019.   Coach Bronco Mendenhall and the Cavaliers will host the College of William and Mary on Friday night at Scott Stadium.  The Tribe of William and Mary is led by former Coach Mike London, who is Mendenhall’s immediate predecessor.
