BREAKING: Albemarle Police investigate Pantops armed robbery report

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County Police report a large presence at the Pantops Shopping Center investigating an armed robbery report.

No injuries are reported.

ACPD social media reported the incident initially around 11 a.m., and officers were actively canvassing to interview witnesses, seeking and reviewing surveillance footage, and collecting evidence.

A suspect is not in custody at this time.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

ACPD advised additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
