UPDATE: Missing Teen Found Safe

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – UPDATE: Violet has been safely located and is now with family.
Earlier: The Charlottesville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating runaway juvenile Violet Lopez-Garcia.

Violet was last seen on August 3, 2024, at a party in Albemarle County with a friend.

Family members have been in contact with her and believe she is staying with friends in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. Violet is not currently believed to be in danger.

Violet Lopez-Garcia is described as a light-skinned Hispanic female, approximately 5’1” tall, weighing about 110 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Violet Lopez-Garcia is urged to contact Detective J. Houchens at (434) 970-3676.
