CPD responds to shots fired call Wednesday night

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Police responded Wednesday night to multiple reports of gunfire in the area of River Rd. and St. Clair Ave., just west of Darden Towe Park, in the Locust Grove section of the city.

River Rd. is closed from Locust Ave. to beyond St. Clair Ave. and there is a heavy police presence in the area, the CPD announced. Officers who responded to the call located spent cartridge casings and identified a vehicle and a residence that were struck by bullets.
