CPD seeks help in finding a mail thief

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Police are seeking a suspect caught on security video stealing packages from a city apartment building’s mailroom.

Video shows a Black man wearing red shorts, a black T-shirt and white sneakers, entering a mailroom and rifling through packages at the 200 block of Garrett Street. In the video, the suspect is seen removing what appears to be two items.

Anyone who can identify the individual depicted is asked to contact CPD at (434) 970-3280.
