New BB or pellet fired from vehicle incident

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – University of Virginia Police is looking for information in another firing of a “BB-style projectile” from a small, dark sedan on Wednesday, May 4, 2024.

The latest incident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the area of Jefferson Park Avenue and Ruppel Drive. An individual reported being struck, with the projectile coming from what may have been a Honda Civic. The vehicle then left the area in an unknown direction.

At approximately 8:53 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, April 30, multiple people called 911 to report a small dark sedan with four or five masked men inside firing shots at 10th and West Main Streets, where one person was injured, followed by shots at Stadium Road and Shamrock Road.

Anyone with information on any of those incidents is also asked to call UVA Police at (434) 924-7166.
