STAUNTON, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for all City of Staunton and Augusta County water customers as of Monday, Aug. 18. A Staunton release says “all water samples tested over the weekend came back clean – no bacteria detected”.

The advisory was issued last Friday, August 15 after a large water main break led to a loss in pressure and there was a remote possibility that disease-causing organisms entered the water distribution system. A Staunton release said, “When it comes to public health and water safety, we follow an abundance of caution approach and consult with state health department guidelines.”

The release states, “if you’ve been using water this weekend, your lines are likely already flushed. If you’d like, you can find flushing guidelines from VDH linked in the full city statement here.
Food establishments should follow guidelines linked here.

For the past 14 weeks and counting, the top Billboard spot has been held by a love ballad: Alex Warren's "Ordinary."
