CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Another huge volume of students want to go to UVa. The University’s Bethanie Glover says they had a record number 58,995 apply for admission through the three application processes, breaking last year’s record 56,500. They’ve offered admission to 9965 and await how many say they’ll attend.

The target enrollment for the Class of 2028 is 3970. She says financial aid offer packages will go out in April, and students have an extended deadline of May 15 to send in the deposit of intent to attend. UVa is one of many schools around the nation who’ve extended that deadline because of the delay the feds had in revising FAFSA forms. Universities have only started receiving those forms the past couple of weeks.
