CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- UVA Men’s Basketball sophomore Ryan Dunn has declared for the NBA Draft. Dunn told ESPN’s Jonathan Givony that he intends to forgo his last two years of eligibility based on positive feedback he has received from the NBA. “I had an amazing two years at UVA,” Dunn said. “I’m focused on the next step in my life now. I got really good feedback from the NBA and am ready for the next level. I am all-in.” According to ESPN, Dunn is currently ranked No. 31 in the ESPN 100 among NBA draft prospects, and he also made the all defensive team in the ACC, averaging 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in 27 minutes per game this season. Dunn’s exit creates even more room on the roster for Tony Bennett’s team to pursue transfers and uncommitted high school recruits for next year. Dunn has given no indication that he will return to college, but he does have that option prior to June.
