Birdtalker–“Heavy”: The video for the song is out now and the 5-piece band’s debut album drops in the fall.

Joan Shelley–“Where I’ll Find You”: Her self-titled album came out on Friday and was produced by Jeff Tweedy in Wilco’s Loft Studio in Chicago.

Well-known Strangers–“Don’t Follow”: The new single from the album, Aligned, which is currently available.

Northern Faces–“Messin’ With Me”: The trio of Matt Ippolito, Bryan Shortelli, and Marco Testa are from New York State and their self-titled debut album is out now.

The tenfivesixty–“You Say”: The UK synth pop duo is comprised of Jen Devereayx and Rick Hornby. Their self-titled EP is currently available.

Slowdive–“Star Roving”: From the self-titled album which dropped last week and is the UK shoegaze pioneers’ first release in 22 years.

Imagine Dragons–“Whatever It Takes”: The new record, EVOLVE, drops on June 23rd. Their wold tour with GROUPLOVE and K.Flay kicks off September 26th in Phoenix and stops in DC on November 5th.

PWR BTTM–“Answer My Text”: The new album, Pageant, came out today. Founders Ben Hopkins and Liv Bruce, who call their music Queer Pink, met at Bard college and sold out The Southern a few months ago.

Third Eye Blind–“Alright, Caroline”: From the 20th anniversary newly expanded version of the band’s self-title, multi-platinum debut. It features unreleased songs such as this one as well as the original album tracks.

Cheap Trick – “Long Time Coming”/We’re All Alright! (out 6/16)

U2 – “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”/Live Choir version from The Joshua Tree reissue (out 6/2)

Monday 5/15 News At Noon

Blink-182–“Wildfire”: The  band refer to this song as a “marriage of Enema of The State and California” and it is taken from the 28-song deluxe edition of California out on Friday.

Fire in The Radio–“New Air”:  The title track from the Philly band’s sophomore album. The name is taken from a Charles Bukowski poem. The band is bassist Ed Olsen, Adam Caldwell on drums, vocalist/guitarist Jonathan Miller, and Richard Carbonne also on guitar and vocals.

Cymbals Eat Guitars–“Have A Heart”: Off of the 4th C.E.G. LP, Pretty Years. The band just played the southern on the 7th and will be in DC with The Pixies tomorrow and Wednesday.

Zach Gill – “Joy (Abbreviated)”/Life in the Multiverse (out 6/2)

Tuesday 5/16 News At Noon

Making Movies–“Spinning Out”: The band is about to start a national tour with Hurray For The Riff Raff in support of their bilingual sophomore album, I Am Another You. It was produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos and features Ozomatli, Hurray For The Riff Raff and Tennis and drops on the 26th.

Elliot Moss–“99”: His headlining tour starts in DC on June 21st. Moss wrote the songs for his new EP, Boomerang, while on tour for his 2015 debut album, Highspeeds.

Palehound–“Room”: The Boston band is fronted by Ellen Kempner. The new album, A Place I Will Always Go, is out on June 16th.
