Adam Friedman Feat. Mike Posner–“Lemonade”: This song premiered on the Today Show this morning and is the theme song to the upcoming film, Rock Dog, starring Luke Wilson. Adam Friedman and Mike Posner are currently touring together and will be in Norfolk on July 19th.

Dinosaur Jr.–“Tiny”: Their latest album, Give A Glimpse of What Yer Not, is out in August and on September 9th they will also be in Norfolk,

Jonah Tolchin–“Thousand Mile Night”: The debut single as well as the title track from his latest album which drops in August.

Wednesday 6/22 Two For The Road

Nahko and Medicine For The People–“San Quentin”: From his third album, Hoka, which is out now. He refers to it as the soundtrack of a movement for a better planet. Nahko is one third Apache, one third Filipino, and one third Puerto Rican, but was adopted by a Caucasian family. He often channels his ancestry in his music and this song was inspired nu a visit to a an in prison. This man murdered Nahko’s father, who Nahko never got to meet. The song is about forgiving that man. He will be at Floyd Fest on July 29th.

My Morning Jacket–“One Big Holiday”: The remastered version of the 2003 song off the deluxe reissue of It Still Moves. They will be at Lock’n in August.

Deaf Rhino–“Can’t Say It Ain’t True”: The New Jersey band formerly known as Easy Company have self-released their first LP as Deaf Rhino, Dirt, Rust, Chaos.

Jones–“Melt”: The debut single from the London solo artist.

L.A. Salami–“The City Nowadays”: L.A. Salami is the stage name of Lookman Adekunle Salami. The British artist released a video for this song last week.

7Horse–“One Week”: From their third record, Living In A Bitch of A World, out now.

Anthony D’Amato–“Rain On A Strange Roof”: He was in the Corner Lounge on Tuesday before his show at The Southern. The tune is from his fourth record overall and second on New West, Cold Snap.

Friday 6/24 News at Noon

Carl Broemel–“Sleepy Lagoon”: Also a member of My Morning Jacket and Ray LaMontagne’s touring band he recorded his solo album, 4th Of July in between tours and album sessions. It is due out in August.

Haley Bonar–“Kismet Kill”: Her new album, Impossible Dream, drops in August and was recorded on analog tape in Minnesota and mixed by Chris Coady who was worked with the likes of TV On The Radio, Beach House and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Bonar will be in DC on September 14th.

Simo–“Please”: The band is the namesake of its guitarist, J.D. Simo and recently opened for Blackberry Smoke at The Jefferson.

White Denim–“Had 2 Know (Personal)”: The video for this tune is out now and you can catch them at Lock’n in August.

Six60–“Don’t Forget Your Roots”: The five piece band out of New Zealand released their debut self-titled record on their own label, Massive Entertainment back in 2011 and it is just reaching the U.S. now.
