Videos of the Day – week of 12/8

Sir Paul McCartney’s new song is available digitally as of this week…see above for “Hope For the Future” from the new Destiny video game!?

12/8 – beautiful new song & video from Bear’s Den…

12/9 – U2 just announced yesterday (sorry I’m just seeing it today) the Films of Innocence project.  Now that the 24-hour-link viewing period has expired, we can only embed the trailer.  Guess you have to go to iTunes or Amazon to buy the video collection…so lemme get this straight: they give away the album to half a BILLION iTunes users worldwide, but want you to BUY the videos?  Wonder if they’ve been in their recording bunker so long (it has been 5 years, after all) that they haven’t heard of a little thing called YouTube where all these videos will end up whether they like it or not…?

and here’s an unofficial video for “Every Breaking Wave” that is pretty amazing! #surfsup

12/10 – Father John Misty is back with a new album in Feb.  Here’s the video he made on an iPad with his wife during their wedding anniversary…Josh, er um, Father John says: “I don’t care all that much if you like the music video or not. The label isn’t crazy about it. Management isn’t crazy about it. I have been informed I’m basically kissing an MTV ‘Woodie’ award goodbye forever.”

12/11 – was wondering around YouTube today looking for Beatles Christmas songs, and came across this complete DC concert from 1964!?  Looks & sounds great, doesn’t it?

12/12 – love this new Jose Gonzalez tune…look for his 1st solo album in 7 years (he’s kept busy with his other, full-band project Junip & with Ben Stiller’s Walter Mitty) in mid-Feb.
